Writing can be a lonely occupation. In the past, we benefited as members of a stimulating group of authors who met regularly in Manhattan (Jacob’s Studio). Wanting the same after moving to Virginia we set up a Writers’ Workshop.
The Williamsburg area has a thriving colony of writers which is fostered by the Chesapeake Bay chapter of the Virginia Writers Club, informal groups meeting in homes, and two wonderful libraries in Williamsburg and James City County. A book festival is becoming an annual event in Williamsburg.
Our workshop/ critique group provides feedback for unpublished work by members and shares news of the evolving publishing world. Fiction and non-fiction writers are welcome. We meet on alternate Mondays for a total of eight meetings per semester and two semesters a year.
